It all started with Vini Cortez, our founder and lead game designer, who has been a lifelong fan of video games. For over two years, Vini worked tirelessly on his own to create EXP: War Trauma, a game that would go on to be our debut release. This experience allowed him to develop a keen understanding of the game development process and instilled a strong sense of perseverance in him that has become a cornerstone of our company culture.

With the success of EXP: War Trauma, Vini realized that he wanted to create a game that was truly unique and pushed the boundaries of what players had come to expect. He dove into the world of the Backrooms, a mysterious and unsettling place that has captured the imaginations of millions around the world. Working alone once again, Vini crafted an immersive and terrifying game that explores the depths of the Backrooms and the dangers that lie within. The result was a game that drew the attention of the gaming world and set the stage for Cortez Productions to emerge as a prominent indie game developer.

Our studio now consists of a diverse team of more than 6 members from different countries, each bringing their unique experiences and perspectives to our projects. We are united by our passion for creating immersive, innovative, and high-quality games that put the user experience first.
